Hi T.A.disco here (spur of the moment name maybe think of an other later) thinking of buying a discovery 1996 N reg has small hole in boot floor is this an mot fail would like any input on this also there is some oil on sump could be coming from any where on the engine is thi an mot fail all input welcome.

The hole in the boot is where you put the towrope on and attach to a defender when you get stuck in mud .. the oil on the sump is factory fitted, and you will soon have one on your driveway..if it doesnt bleed its run out of oil..

LOL I thought I read that somewhere before,.... didn't someone find loose wire connectors and chicken bones in their box.

Hmm, well, it's definitely a selling-feature, as most Discos of that age have LARGE holes in the boot floor!!

Leaking is a good sign, it means there's still some oil in it!
