Hi, I live in North Norfolk and used to have a series 3 lightweight which was a labour of love. Unfortunately I fell out of love and sold it after a couple of years and got a Nissan!!

I've joined the forum because I have a friend who inherited a small wood when his father died last year. In the wood resides a Land Rover which was his fathers but for which there are no papers.

I feel it is a shame for it just to sit there doing nothing. It would make a great project for someone?

I guess it is ex RAF but any other info about it would be gratefully received.

Thanks David

Is a very good year , 1966 , year i was born and indeed would be a great project

Last motd in 2011 , so assume its been sitting there for min 7 x years

Like many of us have done a few ground up restorations

It looks good enough to use as it is. I bet it would start with an hours worth of tinkering, a good battery and a gallon of fuel. And it's in its perfect environment.

The odd thing is that it is a series 3 but with a 1966 registration which would make it a series 2 and with no papers would make it questionable.
