Hi all, just joined the forum. I'm a new owner of a 2000 P38a which I bought as a replacement for my Vitara. I wanted a half decent 38 as a project and found one that looked as if it would fit the bill. Had a few problems initially, EAS - rebuilt the compressor both mechanically and electrically, fitted an air bag to front off side and repaired three leaks on the pipework. Now working through the other bits and bobs mainly to sort out the "tinkering" that has gone on by the previous "knowledgeable" owner. To date I'm extremely happy with the car and love the superb ride. I may need some help as I work through things so hope I don't become a pest with my requests for advice / info. Thanks John

welcome in! Air bags being your suspension? Can i ask why you didn't do them in pairs? Normally, well I say normally they'll go together or one after the other!!
any suspension part is done in pairs to maintain stability!!

Would normally replace any "pair" as a pair, but when I checked over the other one of the pair it looked fairly new. The one replaced had a tear around the lower part of the bag about one and a half inches long. An aside the car went through MOT yesterday with one advisory - off side drop link slight play. Was going to replace both drop links and bushes anyway so really pleased as I didn't know the history of the car
