Hi there just bought myself a Defender 90 year 1986, this my second Land rover the first one was a 110 v8 which i sold a long time ago, the one i have now is old and needs some work before i can get to taking it off road again.

Thanks for the welcome. New bumper, passenger side footwell, all 3 door locks, battery box needs repair, n/s rear quarter panel has taken a wack, new back door would be nice and .22 bullet holes filled (yes someone shot it) bet you wished you never asked.

Many times I've wanted to shoot mine

For the battery box I bought a used seat box off ebay for 99p and butchered it for its solid battery box

Dented panels add character. Mine took far more work to get it road worthy than that

Think i am going to need some door's, had a go at getting the door lock's off to day (just the drivers side) only got as far as getting the door card off and the inner panel and the window fell down ( will need more time ) can't even get the rear door screws off rusted on. ( rear door needs changing anyway). good idea about the battery box Marmaduke, will keep an eye out for one. any ideas about the foot well?

I had to replace both of them on mine as it was a bit of a fred flintstone machine
