Hi all,
The name's Bill, just bought a 2004 Disco 2 Landmark, the wife has a 2009 Freelander 2 and I used to have an old Series 2.
Wanted to get another Landy ever since and found Defenders too much and not that suitable for me at my age! Settled on the Disco and so far so good, looking forward to reading all about the cars.
Cheers

Hi Bill,

Welcome to the Loonyzone. Hope you like your D2 ( Sssssshhhhh, We will not mention the wifes freelander .......:p..)

Just in case you do not know , It is worth your while making sure you know the EKA code , how it works and that you have 2 working fobs, can save you a lot of headaches in the future if you are unlucky enough to have a fob / rf receiver issue.

Cheers

Hi,
Thansk for the quick reply, I will look through the mountains of papers for it, i got it from a mate who has had it from about 2 months old, only one key though so will look at getting that done straight away!
Cheers

Hi Bill,

A 2nd keyfob is not something to panic about, but definitely worth putting on the todo list... even if it is just the std steel key as a spare.
EKA code, will be either with the paperwork, it is a 4 digit alpha numeric code. If not then you can get it from a LR dealer for free with proof of ownership.
Regarding the fobs, if you do want one, then have a search for someone local to you who has a nanocom diagnostics which can be used to program the car to accept a 2nd hand fob. Which should be cheaper for you.

Cheers
