Hello and Welcome,

Not sure how large an item you will need to carry on or in a 90 or use for camping, but the load area and volume is actually quite small, A 110 is much larger.
Alos have you tried driving a 90/110 with the third seat occupied, either has to be a small child , or someone you know very well.

Cheers

thanks for your response. at the moment I use a ford connect, and manage ok with my job.it would need to have a full roofrack.
the reason I need an extra seat is for my daughter. are the bench seats in the rear ok to use with seat belts?

I personally would not recommend the use of a bench seat with a lap belt.

You can get fold down forward facing seats, but they still take up a lot of room. I think you may find a picture on exmoor trim website.

I would suggest going and having a look at a load to see what configuration suits you best.

Cheers

A defender is a good vehicle but if you want to use the middle seat for your daughter she will need to be small and under 5 stone in weight or it will get very cosy, however full seat belts in the front are better than lap belts on a bench seat. Good luck in your hunt.
