Hi everyone. I am new to the landyzone and trying to find my way around! I am 62 and have a 2003 TD5 Auto disco. Have always been interested in land rovers, my previous modal was a 1974 109 inch safari but I needed a little comfort in my old age! Have had the TD5 since 2005 and it has taken me and the other half and our caravan over much of Europe since then. Mind you, she has cost a few pennies too (the landy, not the other half) new auto gearbox, new power steering pump and new power steering box etc etc. anyway, just wanted to say hello and look forward to hearing from many like minded people here on the landyzone!

:welcome2: dont worry we have loads of old duffers on here too, you wont be lonely old fella ;) to be fair you are barely out of short pants compared to some members, Im sure the SAGA gang will be along to welcome you too once they have had their sanatogen and put their teeth in to soak.:D

Welcome to LZ Toprulesman :welcome:

Always nice to have new neighbors, I'm only 3 junctions East of you ;)

So, what's your top rule?

(and don't say "about 10" but I don't use it as a rule" )

Pumpy

Pumpy, we may have a name in common, all my family call me 'bumpy' my other name 'toprulesman' comes from my 40 year career on the railway. I ended it being responsible for the railway rule book and other national publications. Although I like your answer better!

You wouldn't want to get bumpy in the stuff I pump

Now I have a better line for you when someone asks for your top rule...

"It's a 10" but there's a £25 fine for improper use"

I was going to write a railway pun, but it's a play on words

the old ones are the best.... groan :p
