New member new owner and need help PLEASE!!

Had something similar with my head unit the other day. CD player has been iffy since I got it but it started working the other day and 5 minutes later it overheated and switched off, would't come on again until I switched the engine off.

I’m glad to have found out they sorted it. If I hadn’t asked if they got it sorted, may never have?

I agree it's nice to have a conclusion and if this thread had just said introductions only now post in the D3 section then I wouldn't have added my (pointless) comment.
As there were already some helpfull comments I thought I would add mine.

Anybody is welcome to add conversation in any of my threads. It’s interesting and you learn things you’d never normally come across from a range of different views.
If they’d gone straight to Disco section I wouldn’t know what happened.
The intro section is busier than it used to be. I think it’s a good thing.

If No one payed attention or talked here, an intro would be pointless in the first place?

The reason @Hippo done so much was because no one talked to the new members.

Agree we all should welcome new members...but we all if they introduce themselves with a problem that needs help send them to the right tech section...that's why the forum is set up with the relevant sections...

What don't you get...introduction as a new member is about you and your vehicle..if you need help go to the relevant tech section and post your help question there it's only a scroll or swipe away...

We did. they came back with no answers from the relevant section.

Their problem is now sorted??

The reason is as I've found that when you suggest they 're-post in relevant section some don't bother...and that pxxxes me off...

I just like talking to new members.

As you say many don’t understand forums or how/where to get help. I was one

I don’t want people to feel ignored or unheard

They did return to the Disco thread. They did get the help they wanted

As I’ve said before, when many didn’t bother helping new members, you were always here making sure they were okay
