I've had my 2002 discovery2 for 18 months and love it but one problem I need to solve is why I can drive for 30 or forty miles perfectly some days and then suddenly there's a severe vibration through the steering column. The next day it kicks in after a mile or two. Someone suggested a new steering damper so I'm doing that over the weekend but is there anything else I should check at the same time. If ypu've solved the same problem any advice would be really welcome.
