Hello everyone. Greetings from the West Coast of Ireland.

I bought my first Landrover Defender 110 Td5 Country Station Wagon earlier this year. It is a 2003 Reg. It had a full main dealer service history from the showroom so it was in very good condition with no flaws, apart from the bottom of the doors rotted out.

I set to work to modify the Defender myself. The first job was to remove the rusted section of the doors and weld in new sections, waterproof them and put the doors back on. I resprayed most of the defender to freshen up the look. I added a stainless steel performance intercooler, K&N filter, snorkle and Silicome turbo hoses. I added a boost box, I removed and blanked off the EGR. I put in a quick shift. Fitted a steering guard. I installed a full checker plate kit. I replaced the original steering wheel with a smaller sports wheel. I made rear speaker pods and installed a new bluetooth stereo and new 150 watt speakers in the front and 180 watt speakers in the rear. I replaced the cat and mid section silencer with a stainless steel straight through pipe. I added a spare wheel carrier. I've spaced the wheels (235-85-16) by 30mm each. Converted front lights to xenon. I've replaced the front bumper with a nice tubular (air con) winch bumper (vehicle does not have air con, but I wanted the extra space) and a 45000 lb winch. I added a wireless remote to the winch. I added a tubular roof rack, 2 x front 80 watt (equivalent) LED spots, 480 watt (equivalent) LED light bar, 2 x 40 watt (equivalent) LED reversing lights and a reversing camera with sun visor mounted display. I've changed the brake calipers and installed uprated performance drilled and grooved disks and uprated pads. I water-proofed the chassis. I replaced the front grill/light section with a new silver finish kit. I think I've done more but can't think of it right now and I have plans to add extended arches, and LED lights. I'm also going to change the injector loom and replace the clutch with a heavy duty type. During the upgrade/work I also completed a full service as well as full coolant flush.

My defender is my pride and joy now, It turns heads everywhere. It pulls like a train, roars at everyone and goes like a rocket. Looking forward to meeting other like-minded Defender owners.
