new landy owner needs help!!

If the turbo was glowing red hot,as you said,and the engine just stopped,it would seem to me,that it has suffered internal damage,you have been given some great advice by a landy guru,jamesmartin,take it mate.;),or get a compression test done,to see if the pistons/rings or valves are still doing their job.

im grateful for the advice and ive been looking for another engine but also considering just doing a full rebuild myself at least i know that all area's are covered on the internals its just having the time to do it around work and this is also my daily driver which is a bit of a pain but i dont wanna part with her lol

ok,well if you are going to do a full engine rebuild,then good on ya.go for it mate,that is what i would do,in your situation.;)
