My good key has been lost, but my spare key is worn badly and so I don't think a new key could be cut from it. Is there a way of getting new keys without having to change the locks?
Cheers

I don't know anything about the newer fenders but worth checking the key for numbers.
the main stealer may be able to do a key from the numbers on the key if present.
Just a thought.

If the spare key works okay I would just get a new key cut off that... all you want it to do is work. Not sure if your key is bog basic or not but have a search on ebay... plenty of blanks for sale. If it needs programming or such plenty of advice if you google.

I also have an 05 Defender. Like yours, both my keys are very worn but they work fine. I get the impression that an ice lolly stick would work fine to be honest.

As said above, if the spare works OK then you may as well just get a new key cut from that.

Thanks. The spare key 'works' but I can sometimes sit for a few minutes jiggling it in the ignition before it will turn. I was also amused on one occasion for it to come out of the ignition without turning off the engine! Maybe some lolly sticks are the answer!

Mongo, My key is also worn and often falls out of the ignition whilst driving. I would try getting a key cut for the small cost incurred, failing that you could get a new ignition barrel & key set.
