New Joiner - Looking for Advice

Hi folks.

I'm looking to buy a Disco, and can't decide between a 3 or 4. I'm even open to a Range Rover. My question is, i do about 60 miles a day for work - what would be the more economical runner? And what mpg could I honestly get? I'd include the prospect of buying something to convert to LPG. I'd be interested in hearing members' views on that too.

So - Discovery 3, 4 or Range Rover? And diesel, or petrol to convert?

Any advice would be greatly received!

Afternoon john, I have both a D3 tdv6 in the family and an L322 lpg v8 all ready converted when I bought it. The L322 is far cheaper to run than the D3. Lpg around me ain't as cheap as other places in the uk and supply is limited. You be lucky to see 20mpg from a D3. Mpg about the same for the L322 but the fuel if you can get it is much cheaper.
