Hi - long time lurker prompted to join by yesterdays events. I got recovered after quickly pulling over when the 300Tdi got rattly with oil bleeding from drivers side. Turns out the oil pressure sensor was missing the top and internals with just the threaded part and nut left which allowed all the engine oil to escape. The internal diaphram was found on my drive along with a line of oil laid as I had driven off in the morning) and there was about a cupful of oil left when I checked the sump today. I had replaced the sensor in november as I noticed the previous one was hanging in half by its spring internals. Has anyone come across this before? Any idea what might cause it? Any chance I have got a way without major engine damage?

Nice to finally be a member - cheers.

Welcome:).

How far did it drive? The only real way to find out is new switch and oil and give it a try;). I have never heard of this before.

But some pics would be nice before you burn it:eek::D.
