hi been nosing on here for a while so thought I'd better join
Straight to the problems as we all have with these, d1 v8 won't start turns over but just as she's about to fire dies. Emptied the oil which was very high and stunk of petrol any pointers ? Tia

It'll be nothing to do with the oil. It's an ignition or timing problem. Check points plugs gaps, clean dizzy cap, rotor arm. If you haven't done it recently I'd replace plugs points condenser. Could also be a knackered coil. If you still have a problem you should check the timing. Not a V8 owner. Suggest you take this to the Discovery part of the forum. Oh and welcome!
