New here please help!

Hi All,

Im wondering if anybody can recommend a garage or mechanic in the Leicestershire area willing to take on engine conversions?

The story so far...

I bought my first Land Rover approx 8 weeks ago, (110 with 2.5td),to cut along story short i was stitched up and the engine died on me.
I purchased a reman 200 tdi stripped engine (Def) at some expense, and contacted a local garage who assured me a lot of the parts would fit on.
However a week into the job, (the guy never phones me!!) i contacted the garage and was told none of the parts fitted! He then advised me to purchased a 200 tdi Disco engine from a local scrap dealer for £300,so that could be stripped and the parts used on my block.Which I did last Thurs.
After no contact for four days, i found out today that the fuel injection pump is not compatible and he has not even started stripping the new engine!!!
Its now over 3 weeks and im not any nearer to driivng my dream vehicle.
Im really wanting to give up on this joker, but im not sure what to do?
Why would the Disco injection pump not fit the Def 200 tdi?

Any advice would be greatfully received!!

hi welcome to the mad house, let us know where you are and someone local will give you some advise on where to take it, but firstly get your man to stop as it sounds as hes a chancer as a 2.5td and 200 tdi are totaly different
