New guy form NZ

I just bought my first road legal LR yesterday. It is the hated Freelander 1.8 . I do like it but it does have little issues. I need to find a manual for it. I can order one from overseas but they will take awhile to get here.

Hi Jon, Freelanders are only hated by people with insecurities and rusty cars... and there's plenty on here. They make themselves known quite readily and you learn to humor them and recognise their personal issues.

You can buy a Haynes manual for Freelander on TradeMe - but the Rave manual mentioned on your post in the Freelander section is better and free!

You should do those tests, or else you run the risk of serious damage to Freelander - their 4WD system is built around a viscous coupling which can go overly tight or lock up with mismatched tyres and screw the transmission.
