Hi and Happy New Year. New Forest newbie looking for advice on P38 diesel engine out. (1) Is it do-able to separate engine from bell-housing and extract only engine? Or is best advice to have gearboxes out with it and do change over out of the truck? (2) Wanting to swop engine from an auto for my manual. Are there any glitsches with flywheel, or is that a straightforward changeover? I'm well experienced in V8 conversions for MGs, but landy-land has rather heavier (gearbox) lumps to play with..... Your suggestions will be much appreciated, even if as simple as "Stop now!"
