I have now a good door to refirb and fit to my 90 (to replace the RTA damaged one) with much thanks and appreciation going to Vivnap who kindly donated this door!

So I am going to get it preped, new bottom sill welded in and painted. Does anyone have any recommendations regarding the window area. I want to replace the runners which vivnap says I can buy no bother, does anyone know about the bottom black rubber seal bit that the window winds through.

Is there anything likely to break when I remove it from my old door?

All tips much appreciated.

your very welcome. as for the weather seals, these can also be bought from any land rover parts dealer. you will need an interior one and an exterior one. i reckon i still got the old ones off the doors i replaced ? ill have a look in a bit and let you know. if you want them ill pop em in the post for ya free of charge. personally if you are going to refurbish the door i would go for new guides and weather strips. also you will need the plastic spacer from the defender door and the two lil plastic curve things that fit in the top of the door (at the side of the window guides) . the weather strips are only about 7 quid each and the window guide comes in a 2 meter strip and costs about a tenner, you just cut it to size, drill it then screw it to the door frame.

OK I will work out what i think I need then post my list on here to see if I have forgotten anything so I have it all ready for fitting during the Christmas period.
