I have a sort of general question to all you landy guru's about a couple of issues on my new pride and joy a 2000 disco 2 v8A.
I had a 98 manual before and loved it but the new one is an auto and I am not sure if there is something wrong or if all auto's are all like it. That is the wine that it makes when accelerating. This seems to be worse when the steering is turned even a small amount then just to confuse me it seems to disappear altogether when you get above 50mph, hmmm!
The second strange disappearing noise is when starting from cold, a bit of a low down tapping(my other one did this but it stopped almost immediatly so probably the tappits) with this one it seems to be around for a while and then dissapear when hot.
So am I being paranoid or is there a problem waiting in the wings.
