New Defender gearbox

Hello there, I am new to this forum but have been driving Land Rovers for 35 years so it may be that Im getting decrepit but my new Defender has the most awful gearchange Ive ever come across. The short gearlever is giving me a real ache in my shoulder and there are now six gears to crunch and less torque so gearchanging is frequent. On the plus side this is the first Land Rover Ive had whose doors fit and you can talk not shout in it at motorway speed!
I really miss the old long throw gear lever does any firm sell modified levers?
Or should I go to a gymn and stop moaning
