new boy needs help.....

hi all, im new to the forum thing and to landrover ownership!!
after harpin on to our lass about a defender for two years i woke up from night shift last saturday to find a 110tdi k plate defender sitting outside the house!!! gotta love her for that.... only its full of rot but engine and gearbox great!

You mean she bought you a landy WITHOUT a welder???? Women! ROFLMAO!

Landies all have rust, holes and so on - in fact it is part of the fun. The panels are pretty much unbolt and replace, the chassis can be welded up - don't worry.....summer is coming, you can take her out for romantic days out looking around tool shops and scrap yards....it will be fine in no time!

well i just spoke to a man with a welder and percy ( my thomas the tank mad 2yr old has named him) is there now getting a wee bit of chassis welding then its getting the whole chassis stripped and coated for 50 squid!!! new floor panels (passenger lower bulkhead rot) and battery box getting fitted too

now i just need to sort security, there are a few thieving ****s around here!

sadly durham plod don't take kindly to good honest citizens like me "offing" the odd thieving ****. shame as a bit of practice would do me the world of good for when i'm out after the pigeons

then dont tell plod
