Hello folks arrived here on my quest looking for a land rover . Currently landroverless, Im a bit of a hot rod builder and run a wee model A coupe hot rod with a couple of other projects waiting for attention , but Ive been snared by the land rover bug . Ive had a secret interest in them for years and drove them at work and had great fun with them, but never had the balls to have one as a daily . The times now here , so Im on the hunt for information and and education.
Im based in North East Scotland, so you might imagine there are more than a few landys scattered around here being a big agricultural area . Im going to be on the lookout for a pre 84 either the last of the series 3 or first of the defender type chassis .. As it is Im kinda drawn to the pre 83 series 3 for its classic looks and ultimate simplicity .
Im taking the liberty of placing an add straight away in the hope I can uncover a worthy project .
Plans are to find a series 3 109 3 door but would consider a station wagon after that the variables kick in, condition, engine chassis condition etc and PRICE .. Ive got a price in mind and have a budget for a re chassis which I will undertake myself along with all repairs, but if there is an abandoned 109 project out there with a galvanised chassis and its located in Scotland I could be all over it .. Im seriously looking for a good project .
