Hi all,

Just acquired my range from my parents as it wouldn't pass MOT until I did the rust replacement work and got it through and when I did they let me have it... :D

Since then I have tidied it up a bit, got all the wheels the same colour etc! But I have had a couple of issues with the timing. She is lpg converted but I don't have the dual timing amp or anything, what should I be running degrees wise?

Anyway, I had it running the other day, and the recently replaced power steering belt began squeaking so I set about sorting that out. To get to one nut u seem to have to take the dizzy out :S ?? Having done all this and put it all back correctly she now won't start, I have fuel, I have spark... but no life...

Here she is:

It quite gutting as I wanted to play in the snow before heading to watch the WRC in Norway, but not going to get a chance now!

So hi again to all, thanks for listening! lol

Have you taken a spark plug out and rested it on the engine (to get a good earth) then turned the engine over to see if there is any spark?

If there's no spark, you have a wire off/ connector loose/ broken wire/ no rotor arm type issue
If there's a spark and it's good, then it's probably timing.

yeah, i have a spark plug tester and I have a decent spark.

I figured it was timing, would anybody have a technical diagram or description for getting it right? as I followed a book on the 3.9 to the letter for the second time and after it worked previously it hasn't this time..... severely aggravating. Also what the timing should be with gas?
