Hello
I've recently acquired a Discovery 2 TD5 2001 auto model. It's used as a daily drive. I can't tell you how it drives from the point of view of a driver because my eyesight isn't good enough for me to have a driving licence. I had to give it up 20 years ago and now I have to sit in the passenger seat with my wife at the wheel. If you have to sit in the passenger seat, at least the view is one of the best. One of my son's has been playing with LRs for years and he persuaded me that the Discovery would be a good way to go. My wife loves it. It's her first automatic car and after a very short time has difficulties driving a manual. If I get a chance, I will get behind the wheel but it will have to be on private land. I can do a bit of spannerwork and fully expect to have to do some. I've already downloaded RAVE. The next purchase may be a Nanocom. I've had a look at various items on this site and I know I will benefit from the knowledge here. Thanks in advance. The air conditioning packed up a few weeks after we bought the Discovery. I had an LR specialist look at it. Apparently the drier is leaking and the codenser is corroded. Looks like my first unplanned repair cost will be quite significant. Currently, I live on the north side of Bath but I'm hoping we'll move further southwest soon.
