New 109 owner!

Hi All,

I'm the proud new owner of an inherited Series 3 109 Military! I'm a park Ranger, living in Cumbria ,so have extensive experience driving Defenders on and off-road. I'm looking to completely restore it over time so will be asking plenty of questions! Don't worry the paint job isn't going to stay!

What kind of winch is that? I don't recognise it. Any makers name or numbers on it?

Well worth restoring then!

It’s very different from a Defender; basic 1950’s era engineering and all fixable. As ex MoD it’s a wee bit non standard but that’s not a problem. My first landy aged 23 was LWB S2. What a tank. I kept it for a year before buying an S3 SWB . Bought the 109 for £450, put new spark plugs in and sold it after a year for £450. Good luck with the project.
