I have been try for a while to swap my battery which kept dying for a new one I've been carrying around for a while to jump start my p38.
Negative cable was just 2 inches too short to connect the negative terminal and I couldn't get the crimped negative lead off behind the battery box holder to fit a longer piece in.

So went with this solution, it's a battery isolater which is long enough to allow me to connect the battery plus I can disconnect the battery when the car is left for a while as an added security.
Hopefully the pictures will show up 😁

Where is engine ECU ?

I was advised not to leave the battery disconnected for any length of time. When I leave mine, for up to a month at a time, I use a maintenance battery charger to keep the battery fully charged.

I loved the idea of battery isolator but everytime you disconnect the battery the annoying beep beep beep beep window not set thing flashing at dash.....takes a few minutes to sort but enough for me not to cut power at any time.

My mate dropped a new battery off for me today. It's brand new out of an s class merc.. It's feckin huge and won't fit. Looks like I'm ebaying that to fund a new one.
