Why do people not research the prices of things new before selling or bidding on eBay.
Having been keeping an eyeball on fleabay for roof tents I stumbled upon a dude selling his prime tech roof tent.....his starting bid was more than they are new
Rant over!
What is it about people paying through the nose for roof tents you've only got to google the price to see if you are putting silly bids on!

Yep reckon some people are either on happy optimistic pills, are dumb or just plain greedy!
The power of the web shows us all :D:D

Am thinking you have hit the nail on the head there!
I messaged the guy I was so cross! Lol
Its a shame you can't put a open comment on the item to warn people of over pricing  jaw:

Roof tent?

I plan on doing it a easier and way much cheaper way

Buy some lengths of flat bar and a ratchet strap then rivet the together to mode a system like caravans use where it rolls out, then fit a standard tent, much cheaper and use the roof rack to tie down to

Had considered that option, but need more robust :D

Some people must just be under the impression that because it's on ebay its automatically cheaper.

I often see people paying stupid money for broken snap on stuff. Sometimes more than the tool actually costs from the rep.

It seems to happen loads with roof tents. Yet everything I've sold people have had a bargain
But it only takes two secs to research the item you are looking at to give you a rough idea. Very daft people are!

No reserve? I'll give you 1p if I can collect. How many can you supply at this price?

People on eBay are idiots, they think it must be a bargain. I sold an inflatable for towing behind a speedboat a few years back, I sold it on an auction for about £70, they were available brand new for £50 and must have come up in the searches but someone got carried away with the bids and paid too much... I wasn't going to complain though!
