Not syre on issue may be simply lack of use.

Battery was 11.5 before i got a jump.

Now 13.28 to 13.85

Not gone over 14. Independent of revs.

Does anything need replacing or just a good charge?
 
Charged it all day after i got home now up to 12.

Will charge all tomorrow, then see, 2 years old

It won't make any difference.

A healthy 12 volt battery produces about 12.6 to 12.7 volts.
As they discharge, they can survive down to about 12.1 to 12.2 volts.
If they go below 12 volts, they are completely flat and won't charge up enough to start a car, they may run the lights for a bit.
 
I will give it a day anyway as i would need to get it started to battery shop
Charge it overnight on the vehicle, and it may start the car with the charger still connected.
If not, jump start it again to go to the shop.
As someone said^^^^, the voltage is really only an indicator of battery health, to start a car needs lots of current.
When you jump start, you are connecting the car to a healthy battery with a running alternator, which raises the voltage and current still further.

I am trying to work if knackered or just lack of use.

I'll give it another day of charge and see how it goes. If it returns to instant start fine, but will see.

I change batteries in things for a living... your average lead acid is good for 4 years, then it starts to deteriorate. Nothing at all about the circuitry, its all about the quality of the construction of the battery itself, the temperature in which the battery is used, how often it goes through its charge and discharge cycle, and the way its charged....

If the battery goes below a certain voltage, your average battery charger wont charge it. If you can get another good battery, and can stick a set of jump leads in parallel with the discharged battery, the charger will provide a voltage to charge the both batteries at the same time.

I did monitor a jump at one stage from 11.something to just over 12.

Anyway if another day doesn't work i will see what the guarantee is.
 
My d2 is ocasional use also, and if left for a few weeks will not start cause the alarm etc pulls the battery down. So I keep it on a tricle charger permanent. Aldi/Lidl £12 job, if you have no handy power supply you could use a small solar panel.
 
Started straight away today, charging at 13.8 to 13.9, ignition off 12.4 to 12.5.

Will give it a weekly boost charge for now.
