Whilst trying to remove the wheels (Freelander 1, TD4, 55 plate) to paint the rusted hubs on a warm summer day, and on my own drive-way with all the comforts and available tools to hand. I realised what a b0gger of a job it would be to do on the Hard-Shoulder of the M6 on a wet and dark November night. (I don't mean the painting of hubs bit). It was trying to get the nuts off. They had distorted through corrosion etc. and the socket piece had difficulty fitting over the flaking edges. I've done some searching on the site, but, can anyone recommend a robust and reliable wheel nut that I could use to replace my existing ones.
