need some help

i bought a 1991 range rover classic country and having problems with it. like my headlights wont turn on i have checked the fuses and also the switch to see if im getting power which i do and the fuses are good i also dont have dash lights or park lights. could it be a bad relay or something? and also how do you open the upper rear window i am entirely new to land rovers

Power into the switch doesn't mean power out.

Check the switch is supplying power to the circuits.

Rear window?? you press the button, how else do you think you get in the boot?????
 
sorry my bad now on to my headlights im going to try to bypass the old switch and use one of my aftermarket off road light switch and go from there

If everything seems to check out I would suggest dropping the lower dash panel and checking the thumb wheel for the panel light dimmer is actually connected - iirc if the thumbwheel is disconnected the lights don't work. A bit of a faff I know but worth checking.
 
what would be the problem for my radio not working its the stock radio with the 12 disc changer and im not getting any power to it i have checked the fuse and its good? and on the other hand that i forgot to mention the old owner took out the alarm system on it cause it was preventing it to start would this have any links to my head lights and everything else not working????

Pull the radio out then carefully pull off and check the multi plugs on the back and look for broken/corroded wires and pins.

Unlikely - the alarm would normally prevent starting by breaking the starter circuit so the starter relay doesn't switch preventing the starter motor from working.

Sounds like you need to download Rave (do a search!) and study the wiring diagrams.
