No point in fitting a lightbar, unless your headlights don't work.

Lifting it i'm sure is possible, however the reason to do so escapes me..

Being a tuppleware princess you'll have plastic shyte flying if you took it anywhere a real 4x4 could wander ;)

I dont understand how people have such a hard time understanding, sometimes things are just for the look.... cheers tho lad

If you wanted to feel good you could of started with a proper Full Fat Range Rover, a nice L322 could be had for the price of an Evoque..

Unless you have money to throw on the fire don't bother.

We tend to "sometimes" give practicle advice to stop people píssing money up the wall.

To be fair it is your car do what you want...

The suspension is McPherson struts front and rear, i'm sure you could lift it, assuming you could find a set of aftermarket springs.

As for the light bar, try and find an image with an Evoque that has one, the CanBus system on the evoque is a pain in the ass when it is unmodified, trying to run ebay light bars off an evoque is a recipe for disaster..

IMO.

Luckily i've been in contact with a guy who does a lot of Freelander mods, whos looking to expand into evoque stuff, although a fair amount of freelander stuff should be if not compatable, but very close too.

Hes unsure about the lightbar too, but may as well try and figure it out if possible, hes quite optimistic about the 4X4 applications of the evoque too, not when put up against a defender or something like that of course, but everything has its place ;)

There is nothing in common between the Ejoke and Freelander electronics, bonne chance.

Ah the young, image is so much more important than substance:rolleyes:

why not make your car look how you want it too? plus for now, all i can do is work on the image till i can work out what if anything i can do to improve the thing ;)

i fear i havent made myself clear, the stuff which is compatible is stuff like guards, racks, and that side of things ;) apologies for the confusion

The image is the last thing, the need and the practicality for any mods should have utmost importance.
I could do these things myself but the suspension is designed to off road and the lights in addition to the long spots fitted into the grill out way the need for a light bar. If you are going to off road it and have the 4x4 model then à lift would be a good idea. If you got xénons you may not need a light bar for night time off roading. Most of the off roaders on the net have these mods for a reason, they just happen to look cool. There are couple of cars around here that look battered but get some use off-road. They don't look cool just practical.
Like expensive trainers to go shopping in.. Or "lifestyle" trainers you can't do sport in.. Rant stopped!!
Its your choice and quite rightly so, unfortunately there's always some form of criticism when you wear your clothes differently from the rest but there's bugger all wrong with being different.

Are many people off roading at night? I get that farmers and many off roading as part of their profession will need to do so; but are many people off roading recreationally at night? The number of light bars and huge spotlights on people's vehicles suggests that they are. Genuine question where and why?
