Need new number plates

Hi I need a set of UK EU compliant number plates for my 101 I have just bought here in the Algarve so that I can matriculate (register) it here,I have all the documents export certificate,military release etc but having been under a tree for 10 years or so the plates are missing,authorities have agreed to matriculate as a commercial(huge saving on tax)as it's only got 2 seats but I have tried to order plates on-line but can't get an answer if they will post here and had no reply to emails and phone calls anyone got any ideas on how to solve this have tried more than 1on-line company, these plates will only be on for a few days so looking for the quickest and cheapest option

Can you not get them locally, surely if they are going to be scrapped they don t have to be compliant, just show the correct nos. and letters.

Freelance ~The inspection here is done by government run stations not local garages it's a drive through computerised test which includes a timed stored photo in their records,the plates are black on white front and back to get them made you have to have the log book and your passport and go to a motor factors who won't have the correct materials(yellow rear plate)I can't get the Portuguese log book till I do the inspection and these guys are not stupid the test certificate is printed out green for pass red for fail with a tear of section which goes onto windscreen next to insurance.

Peter~Thanks for your very kind offer will keep trying on net and will let you know how I get on its taken 4 months and 2 useless agents till I found a young switched on lady who can do what she said she can so far by matriculating as a commercial she has reduced the emmisions tax from 14,000€ to around 500€!

Managed to order a set tonight with delivery to Portugal should arrive next week didn't need to scan docs etc so will see what happens!

Listerdiesel ;plates arrived yesterday v.happy with service from UK, it appears that the sites I was trying had the build your own plate box which doesn't recognise the N on a Portuguese keyboard it shows it with a squiggle above anyway one more step towards registration!!
