I would suggest that you go to 255/85r16 MT tyres and fit a rear locking differential
Fitting wider tyres are not going to solve your problem , as you will only need to drop into a gap that is wider than the tyre and you are back to square one. Hope you have steering guard otherwise you risk rocks bending your drag link .
I have 285/75r16 BFG MT on my 110 CSW with about 1.5 " lift and trimmed fender eyebrows , but have found that using minimum one of rear difflock if not front as well gives best security when fording creeks etc . HTSH
If you really want ground clearance google " Killer Axles" (deep pockets needed)
