getting increasingly fed up with my defender TD5 which won't start, ECU people tell me the ECU is OK so I'm thinking of making up a new lead with a 7 core cable for the injectors and a 2 core screened cable, need to run this frame m the red ECU plug to the front of the engine in a flexible conduit (like the existing one).
I am looking for the connector plug C0117 can be seen here : http://picturestack.com/617/681/lFuC0158toC01cYC.jpg

Anyone know where I can get hold of one? Anyone have a knackerd harness with a good plug on it they might sell?

I have an old TD5 main engine loom you can 'borrow' long term. It has various faults in the wiring but the plugs are good as far as I know . The vehicle in question has aircon but no ABS/TC (this makes a difference to the looms). It was taken off mine around Christmas 2014. I don't mind if you cut it up.

Brown many thanks that's twice you have come to my rescue. I would appreciate very much please can u let me know how much you would like for it?

I don't really want any money. Let me try and find it first - I think it's in the attic. What I'd prefer is the sort of arrangement where I could borrow it back if I need it in the future. As you've observed, it's a useful source of multiplugs that aren't necessarily available elsewhere. So if you don't mind getting a PM in future saying 'Can I have the Masterseal XP451 off the throttle spur' you'd be very welcome to have it for your experiments in the meantime.

That would be fine but I would like to pay for the shipping or send you a bottle of something for the New Year,.
I am looking to do something like this owner did : http://www.aulro.com/afvb/discovery-2/143155-d2a-td5-misfiring-cutting-out-engine-harness.html
Hope it will get me going again then I will start to consider the position when the warm weather comes back. I found some of the plugs they use but the round one is beating me.
ECU should be back from ECU repair tomorrow, yesterday I spent a couple of hours on the drive way taking off the earth connections cleaning them and tightening back up, today I'm looking at the wiring diagram and wondering if there are any other earths or if anything may have shorted or taken out a fuse, ordered some earth straps from eBay and I think I will add some more to be double sure.
Once again I appreciate your generous offer.
The joy of owning a Defender!!
