Need help quickly

Hi all,

Having a bit of trouble here, I can't unlock or disable the alarm on my disco' with the key remote, the red led on the key illuminated when either button is depressed, but nothing happens.
Can unlock / lock the car by turning the key in the lock, but this doesn't disable the alarm.
Need to use the car in 1 hours time to get to work.

A quick response would be fantastic.

2001 disco GS Td5 Auto.

In the documents provided with the car should be a "security card", it contains the code and instructions for disarming the alarm with the key, without this i think your pretty knackered
