I have a 2.25l Lightweight series IIa. It has what I believe to be an early model gearbox with non-synchro first gear.
It has been off the road for about 12 years and has very slowly been rebuilt. Finally put a new military engine in and rebuilt the brakes for the third time etc etc.
On the road it has first and second gears, is slow to pick-up in second which i put down to timing.
But it doesnt have third or fourth. The gear stick moves the selectors but there is no drive at all. I have the floor out and the selectors do move and the inspection cover at the back shows the main shaft moving.
What could it be? Is it a disassemble again? Could it be a selector problem? Or an exchange gearbox?
