Need advice how to repair wasteline

From the picture i have a bad area of rust that looks to be filled by a previous owner. Can someone advise how to repair/replace this section ?

remove side panels and drill out the rivets holding the rear body cappings, if 200 tdi or previous tdi google mwc2120 and mwc2121,300 tdi on google mxc5973 and mxc5974

Thankyou, my defender is a 1994 110 hardtop but can i buy the newer style replacement cappings and will they fit ok.
