So we sold our Defender 90 that l bought new in 2006, as l need a 110 for the extra space, to get my boat/engine in etc.

I have put a deposit on a 110 CSW that looks very nice, on sale at a dealer called Hofmann's in Henley.
The dealer says the 110 is in very nice condition, but it is a bit far for me to go and view it. They are going to get it delivered, and obviously if it's not as described l can send it back.

They do look pretty reputable, dealing mainly in high end classic cars. It is the only Land Rover on their stock list so easy to see on the website(although it is now sold it was still showing on the website today)

What l was hoping was, is there anybody on here who lives near the dealer, who could just have a quick look at it for me. Not a vehicle inspection as such, l just want to be sure the body is straight (as in not dented etc) and particularly that the chassis/crossmember/ underside is not too rusty. I will have it waxoyled when l get it, but l looked at a similar age one near here and the underside was in a pretty bad way.

OK....never mind.

I found a company that will do it for a fair bit less than the RAC quoted. Just thought that if there was anybody nearby they could have taken a quick look for me.

It certainly looks clean and straight in the pics. Always worth a very good look tho. Some amazing cars on that site. I like the 1972 mk1 escort for £45,000
