I’m a prospective owner, pick up an 03 defender TD5 XS next week. She will grace the Devon lanes! We have a couple of JLR cars in the household already, my wife has a 3 year old Discovery (our 3rd) and I run a RR Evoque as a company car. I know these generate mixed views but I’ve been very impressed with this one. My passion has always been old VW’s and Porsche’s and I own a 1974 Porsche 914 2:0 litre which I’ve owned for about 20 years, most of those she was in various parts and on axle stands etc. I finally got her recommissioned and sorted a year ago having realised that I didn’t have the time or ability to do it all!
The Defender will actually be my wife’s and it’s fair to say she’s more keen than me on buying one but I’m sure I’ll come to love it. I was struck when test driving how it was a blend of nostalgia and brilliant fun! I hope it stays that way!

Tratters are easily stolen. Add additional security when get yer it. Plenty of fred's int tratter section discussing this topic.

Evokes are ok but Freelander's are betterer. ;)
