Found a viscus fan on a 300 tdi engine that just happened to be kicking around, pot of mint tea and some serious Dirham talk I had it happily spinning away on my 110 !

But we Don't want to be going there at the moment !

Too bloody hot to camp (tried it last year) currently 46° C at 10pm, our thermometer only goes up to 50° C so not got a clue what the daytime temperature is just that it's a full time job filling the fridge up with water as quick as we can drink it. A mate of mine recommended that we had to stay in a Palaise at least once before we die so bearing in mind the stupid temperature outside thought it's now or never. Proper negotiated a good deal for 2 nights half board and the rooms have got air -con -Yipeeeeeeeeeeeee !

We are the only people in the Palaise, realy regret not negotiating harder :(

Realy to hot to go into the dessert/dunes etc...especialy after our tyre blowing out last year and then find a radiator leak  so we had a potter around (got lost) in some Palm trees whilst charging our second battery for the fridge.

Brilliant photos and write up and has really whetted my appettite to go to Morocco which has been an ambition of mine for the last ten years. I have a L/R D2, plenty of time but unfortunately wifey is not really interested.

Found these grim reminders.

The court can just be seen on the right, by the red flag.

The mans cell, is a single cell.
Measuring about 7 meters long, by 4 meters wide.
It is underground.
There is a very small barred window at one end, measuring half meter by half meter.
No lights in there, it is black.
The bottom of the window is ground level.
A more scary place I have yet to find.
There are about 60 or so vagrants and vagabonds of every description contained there in.

Hi Jason !!!

Nice, nice pics and trip. We met the last summer in Chef-Chauen...Fes.......Agadir.....and I always saw a great smail in your face....I knew you´d repeat. Great people Maroccians.

Thanxs albion

After 2 nights in a Palace in Zagora that we paid just over £200 for 5 of us half board that I negotiated on arrival I now reckon that I could have got it a lot cheaper than that as we were the only people there.

It was with great regret that we (I) set off for Ouarzazate with out going further down into the dessert and playing in the sand but it was just too bloody hot and anyway guess what ? Bloody Def's temperature started rising again as soon as I got me boot down  so I can now only put this down to the fact that I have recently put a new winch bumper & steering guard on the old girl and it must be restricting sump & radiator cooling as I was here with the same vehicle last year and the needle never moved a mm from it's normal position!

Sorry but things might get a bit "Gay & Boring" now as as much as I would have liked to have shaken every bodies fillings out for 3 weeks on Atlas mountain tracks but I can't because after all it's a family holiday!!

So we kicked off at Ouarzazate with the film studios where they filmed "Jewel in the Nile" with Michel Douglas, "Asterix & Obelix Mission cleopatre and many more that I can't remember !

This geezer was the carpark attendant for ours and two other cars in front of the studio. He stumbled over with his hand held out for some dosh with blood dripping from the corner of his mouth just as we were ready to leave- How could I refuse

Kin Hell it was hot again today !!!

We found a great little campsite just outside Ouarzazate where we got couscous delivered to our tent's and there was even a live band on!
