We are thinking of getting one of these. Are they a good purchase and after the first use, still worth having? ie do you find you use it a lot if you are not commercial garage etc?

No doubt there would be many LR owners local to you that would want some diagnostic work done. A chap I know bought his and has used it dozens of times to diagnose problems for other people.

Excellent bit of kit if you only want to work on your own LR. More than slightly annoying that you have to pay extra for each additional vehicle you want it to work on - which means you're unlikely to be able to help everyone else out with it unless you buy the full package.

For similar money, a used garage-spec OBD2 tool is better value for money in my opinion.
