Nanocom Settings

Using my Nanocom I have set the one shot on all my windows to none, saved the settings but they still do the one touch down thing.Is this right? if so anyway else I can get rid of the one touch?

Also I have found a setting the says EKA enabled and can be set to disabled, what does this actually do? the Nanocom PDF files just says for markets that do not use EKa system

Well I tried setting it to disabled.

Seems to have achieved what i wanted originally. remote central locking with no immobiliser or alarm. They have been deactivated with Nanocom aswell

My second key that is not synced would never start the car after key one locked it by remote, it always displayed engine disabled, I can merrily unlock with key and drive away now.

Setting the EKA back to enabled produces the engine disabled message again.

Just getting it as I want it, Pity I'm not going to keep it.

Could you not get the second fob working as well with the nanocom, it should be able to get the fob programmed to work with the car assuming the fob is not broke.

The FOB's are not programmable, the BECM does need to be synced to the rolling code though.

I will get remote working but batteries were low and drivers door lock was busted, so won't allow syncing

Now lock is fixed, just got to sort remote, have a refurb kit coming by post.

But getting rid of alarm and immobiliser is a good thing in my book. I can unlock the car and start it with just the key blade leaving other pieces of remote in the house.

There are certain things that annoy me about cars, having spent time as a RAC recovery driver before the buy out a few years back, a large proportion of non starts are all the electronic stuff they add on. In my opinion mid 90 was when cars started to go downhill big time. Now if i could get a fully mechanical injector pump even better, I've swapped out these VP37 and VP36 injector pumps on other cars and ended up with better performance and economy.

My Astra Mk3 TDS had a similar chip in key and sensor round the ignition key, but that went in the bin aswell as did the deadlocks and one touch windows.

All my relatives newer cars include Japanese and German are way more unreliable than anything I've ever run, they cost a fortune to run in repairs and servicing and depreciation, they take the mickey out of me with my old cars.

It seems I'm not going to be keeping the P38 though so will not make any radical changes, that I can't change back easily.
