Ok, Thats good enough for me. It's just that I suffer with a bad back and sometimes I can't get to the plug easy. Looks like a job for the wife.
While i'm here should my BECM be Locked or Unlocked ?.

Can you not just leave the cable plugged in and unplug the Nanocom?
The BECM should be locked.
ALways unplug at the OBD, and keep the cable connected to nano (or be sure to connect that first before use). If the cable is live ie plugged to the OBD it can short out to the nano and you will need to replace F33. i never leave it permanently connected - i think it stops/delays the becm from going to sleep

I leave the EAS diagnostic cable permanently plugged in to the OBD port on my project P38, it has no effect on the BECM.

I know my Nanocom powers up with ignition off of I plug it in but I don't know what happens when I switch off because I always power it down first. I'd guess it switches off but for how long I wouldn't want to guess.

Yes you can, but it's not advised by Blackbox. I can't see why it would make any difference, but never tried it just in case.
