Hi all just purchased nano of a chap on here
It's got motortronic installed
Plug it in all worked apart from above
Any ideas please before I email
Nanocom
I have registered the device today
Do I need a new code for it to work on mine? thought they work on all p38,s with the right engine ie gems or edc or motortronic
Mine is 2000 4.6 banana inlet motortronic yes?its been a while sorry
So what's up ??? Please

OK I been reading the nanocom motronic page and I found this

Please note that in the Nanocom Evolution the software looks to the presence of the Body

Control ECU to know whether connected to a Discovery II or a P38 model. Unless you have

the unlock code for the relevant Body Control module the system will report a verification

failed message. so is this my car unlock code or nanocom unlock code confused ???

Motronic for what? If it's for a motronic Disco with a blue cable plug it won't work, the P38 uses an OBDII cable with a green plug. Disco uses a cable with a blue plug. If it's from a Disco think you will need the unlock code for the Motronic P38. They do work on all P38s but you have to have the correct unlock code and the correct cable.

Ok was bought with p38 motortronic wammers has green lead I have registerd and
I have checked the unlock codes with my id on the nanocom website in block 5 and 8 all is good including correct upper and lower case letters
I do like the new improved website ;)
I'm just updating firmware as I type this
Other than that I'm clueless ???
