repair and tube
i will use this one now as me spare, if i can get it repaired asme spare never been on road. why wont they put a tube in these days? i dont wont to throw it away.........cheers gas.

seems some of the bigger names have a set of rules which they strictly adhere to, but the smaller independents take a more reasonable approach, taking each case on its merits.

Lived right close to a fast fit, but they would always object to the repair on one reason or another. Only once out of about half a dozen times did the independent say it couldn't be safely repaired.

You have to judge the use of the vehicle against what is being said. If you're trailering your vehicle to a pay and play site, the consequences of a puncture repair failing may be inconvenient, but are unlikely to result in serious injury. If you're hammering up and down the motorway at 70 or more every day, the consequences may be more serious.

buy a tube? bout £6.50 .
bust it off the rim, fit tyre and tube, take it down and gert them to blast it on and balance it , tis all i do, most small places will do it .

cheers guys finally got somone to put a tube in today 5th place nobody interested at all, couple of places said they could send it away for repair back in4 days, years bac we used to put tubes in all the while, to many rules and regs these days.

Think these days its all about cash, let a female take in a puncture and 99% of big companies will use scare tactics to sell a new big name tyre.
Whilst they are at it, amazing how they always find something wrong with the braking system i.e you're brake pads only have 25000miles left on them would you like them replaced - £250.00
Also they are lazy beggars and much easier to just replace, like most things these days - replace rather than having the skill to strip, repair and rebuild.
