N/A to 200TDi exchange

Hi,

I am considering exchanging my Diesel N/A with a 200TDI. The major problem is that I am from Germany and the 200TDI is about the rarest and most sought-after engine on the continent. Those you can find are either extremely expensive or have run 200.000 miles +. The 300TDI would work as well. There are more 300TDIs available, but the prices are roughly the same as for the 200TDIs.

My idea was to search for a workshop in GB that would sell and fit my Landy with a 200TDI (plus all the parts like turbo, radiator, fuel injection, etc.). So the plan is driving over and wait until the work is done. The time could be spent by visiting some distillery or brewery, right?

Found one garage in Wales. Any other ideas who might be able to do it?

I know of a few good places in Scotland - perfect if your looking for distillerys!

Try Jakewright land rovers in Burley - Wharfedale, West Yorkshire Landrover restoration and sales - Yorkshire, uk. They'll get you sorted!

Many thanks for the addresses and links so far. Very nice of for considering the distance from Germany, but it is 25 years since I've been to the UK and I wouldn't mind seeing some more bits of it. In will contact all workshops tomorrow and see what they think about my plan. No matter where I'll end up, I'll post the whole story here - if you are interested.

no. have received only one response, but that was before my posting here. Everything else is still pending. I have checked with about 5 workshops, but there was nothing. So I will have to write another mail. Maybe they don't reed their mails that often....
