Hi

I have just removed the front bumper to have the colour coding refreshed with a fresh coat of paint, but when removed I noticed that a connector on the drivers side just hanging loose behind the front bumper and not connected to anything. The connector has 2 wires going to it and both wires are Brown/yellow coded.

I am just curious what this connector is for just in case it was meant to be connected to a sensor of some sort and has probably been removed by the previous owner. I know it is not for the foglamps as they have a white connector.

Anybody with a wiring scematic diagram for the Disco 2 could identify it.

Thanks

Just about wet me self with that one.

ITS GOT TO BE FOR SOMETHING MAY BE TEMP SENSOR FOR OUTSIDE.

fer wot ? - to make sure yer bumper dont over heat ?

it might be for add on spot lights or such like - dont worry about it untill you find something thats stopped working in that general region

I asked the local Land Rover Dealer and even the Auto spark scratched his head and said he would find out, but he never came back. Just goes to show even a Land Rover technician is baffled.

Why can they not just label all he spare connector for what they are for . As my 34ft Boat has all the spare connectors on the wiring loom labelled for additional accessories for future use and it is so simple and it is built in the USA.

It sure does and sits in one hll of a big bath tub to play with. That is why I choose to get the Disco just to drag it a few yards out of the water to do maintenance.

The Disco should come with a warning label " If a fault should occur stop at the first hole in the wall and draw a load of dosh"

Land Rover know how to charge for parts.

I think you MAY find it is for a outside temperature sender unit.

My Disco 2 has the same loose wire and pluggy as you describe.
