Hi,
Can anyone identify this resistor which I found, as you can see close to the air-filter box and the EAS air dryer? It has a black and yellow wire coming out at the front (towards the bumper) and black at the back (towards passenger cabin).
I've been having trouble with the ac and suspect its literally a bad connection or damaged wire. I can get the compressor to engage with a direct short to battery. I can also get it to engage with a direct connection to the three way pressure switch. Now I've also established that the HEVAC ECU is sending a signal as far as the connector under the trim near the fuel cut-out and bonnet release so I guess there's a break between this connector and the 3 way pressure switch. Before I run another wire and bypass that bit I just wanted to know if there is anything else along the path? Like this resistor? And what does it do?
Cheers!
ps. before any of you tells me to clean my car please be informed that brown coating is a high tech polymer called G.R.I.M.E and it holds it all together!
