First post here, I sold my series a few years ago and recently bought this P38 turbo diesel 1999 coil sprung conversion. Anyway it has more bodges than most series I have seen . So I am working my way through basic servicing and getting to know it. I have diesel dripping from the rear wheel arch on the drivers side and cant for the life of me see a trace of how its getting there. I have checked pump and leak off pipes and the tank seems dry. There is some evidence of diesel on engine sump but not bad and so far I cant trace this either. Definitely increasing if engine running.

Place your hand under the fuel pump on the engine, it should be dry. If not, the two upper sections on the pump need seals and the pump head where the pipes join on will need doing as well. If your unlucky the lower seals may also need doing. o_O

Sorry for the late reply, just had a chance to look under. It seems to be the pump and possibly a fuel line. The diesel is finding its way along the sill and out at the wheel arch. Its getting quite bad now so off the road till I can fix it. Still cant understand how its getting along there. Thanks for the suggestions.

The fuel lines push in above the tank. You might get lucky.
